Seven people were killed in Turkey today as a result of a boat turnover that led to migrants in Lake Van in the east of the country. An additional 64 migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan were rescued and rescued. That's how Turkish news agency Anadolu reports on Thursday.

According to state authorities, the boat that overturned in Van Lake, Turkey's largest and fifth-largest lake in Europe, carried 71 illegal immigrants, who made their journey in the country to reach Europe.
State authorities report that five people were found dead while rescuing migrants at the boat overturn scene, and the deaths of two more were determined after being evacuated to the hospital. The 64 migrants rescued from the lake were taken by authorities and dispatched to the hospitals near the incident center.

The lake is located near Turkey's eastern border with Iran, from which many migrants cross the border towards Turkey, in order to reach their destination - Western Europe. So far, it is unclear why the migrants were in Lake Van, a lake that is all overflowing in Turkey, and does not actually allow the transition from one country to another.
