In response to the development of the University of Hong Kong last year, Zhang pointed out that the government-sponsored InnoHK plan allocated 500 million yuan in medical and engineering fields. The university submitted a strong plan and was confident that it would be approved for funding. He said that HKU received 163 million yuan in funding to complete 217 studies.
