Member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council Aladdin Borujerdi stressed that the strategy of Iran, Russia and China is to achieve peace and security in the region.
"The strategy of Iran, Russia and China is peaceful and its goal is to establish sustainable security," Borujerdi said in a statement to Iranian Fars News Agency, noting that this step was taken in the region through practical cooperation between Syria, Iran, Russia and Iraq, where a joint operations room was established in both Damascus and Baghdad.
"The joint exercises in the northern Indian Ocean proved that the stage of America's unilateralism in the region has ended, and important forces such as Iran, China and Russia have entered a new stage in order to maintain the security of this sensitive region," Borujerdi added.
He explained that "over the past few decades, the Americans have practically undermined regional security and caused crises in the region, so the establishment of these exercises is important and necessary."
A joint Iranian-Russian-Chinese naval exercise was launched earlier today in the Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman and will continue until the thirtieth of this month.
