In May 2017, the history of the women's team of the Rayadas de Monterrey began, when they participated in the 2017 Women's MX LIGA Cup. At the Opening 2019, the Rayadas achieved the first Championship of their History.

The first nicknames of Monterrey were Sultans, Gypsies, Norteños, Nuevoleoneses and Regios.

They were also called Industriales, Quijotes, La Colmena, Express del Norte, Obreros Rojos. Until, finally, it came to how we know them now: La Pandilla y Rayados.

Rayados' nickname was supported by some journalists such as Ramón Oviedo, César M. Saldaña and José Reyna, the club said and the board of directors then, headed by Carlos Canseco and José Fidalgo, bowed for him.
