A passenger plane carrying nearly 100 people crashed into a building, seconds after trying to take off from an airport near Almaty city in Kazakhstan this morning (Friday). At least 14 people were killed and dozens injured, 22 of them in human condition - according to Kazakhstan rescue officials. The aircraft, of Poker type 100, carried 95 passengers and 5 crew members.

The accident happened around 7:20 a.m. (Kazakhstan time) when the "Beck Air" 2100 flight took off from Almaty International Airport in the direction of Nur-Sultan, the state capital. However, for some reason the plane failed to rise, passed through a concrete barrier and crashed into a two-story building.

Kazakh President Kasim-Jumart Tokayev expressed his condolences to the families of those killed. He said a special investigation committee will be set up to investigate the crash, "those responsible will be severely punished," he said.
