First Deputy Russian Defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov announced today that some countries are preparing to launch a strong misinformation campaign to discredit the Supreme Command of the Russian Armed Forces.
"Today we have reliable information that some countries, through specific media, are discrediting the Russian authorities, politicians, public figures and journalists," Sputnik quoted Tsalikov as telling the newspaper, "Krasnaya Zvezda" of the Russian army.
"A media attack will be launched to undermine the confidence of the Russian community in the combat readiness of the army and also in the work to strengthen and consolidate its strength," Tsalikov said, noting that the agents of this campaign will use dirty methods of information warfare against the Russian Ministry of Defense, which we will never allow.
