Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi agreed, during a telephone conversation between them today, on joint coordination with the aim of establishing stability in Libya and putting an end to foreign interference in it.
The Russia Today website quoted the Kremlin as saying in a statement that the phone call made on the initiative of the Egyptian side witnessed "a detailed discussion of the issue of settling the crisis in Libya ... and that the two sides confirmed their determination to coordinate the subsequent measures in order to stabilize the situation in this country."
Putin and Al-Sisi pointed out the "importance of mediation efforts by Germany and the United Nations in the context of pushing the political process forward with the participation of all the main Libyan parties."
For its part, the Egyptian presidency said in a similar statement that Putin and Sisi agreed during the phone call to "put an end to foreign interference in Libya."
The President of the Turkish system, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, spoke yesterday of his expansionist ambitions and Ottoman delusions to reoccupy the region and announced his intention to send Turkish forces to Libya and make the parliament controlled by his Brotherhood party vote on this matter next month.
