(CNN) - On Christmas Eve, President Donald Trump told service members he was honored to be in the movie "My Poor Little Angel: Lost in New York," a film he described as "one of the biggest Christmas hits. ”
Later that day, a film broadcast on Canadian television did not present its cameo.
The moment, judging by the explanation of the chain, was a coincidence.

During a videoconference with members of the service abroad, a sergeant asked him about his favorite movie, "My Poor Angelito 2".

The movie
Launched in 1992, the sequel to "My Poor Little Angel" raised $ 359 million.
In it, the young Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin) once again separates from his family and ends up alone in New York.
Young McCallister meets Trump at Hotel Plaza and asks how to get to the hotel lobby. Trump points it casually in the right direction and walks away.
The broadcast
When Canadian television CBC aired the movie "Home Alone 2" this week, Trump's cameo was cut, something that didn't go unnoticed on Twitter.
When asked for a comment, the CBC sent a statement to CNN that said:
"As is often the case with feature films adapted for television, 'My Poor Angelito 2' was released for a matter of time." The scene with Donald Trump was one of several that were cut from the movie since none of them was an integral part of the plot.
"These editions were made in 2014 when we acquired the film and before Mr. Trump was elected president."
