The Security Political Cabinet will discuss tomorrow (Sunday) the offsetting of the Palestinian money from a budget for terrorist purposes. Defense Minister Naphtali Bennett will approve Cabinet Cabinet set aside NIS 149 million of tax money transferred by PA to families of "shaheeds" and wounded terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians in 2018.

So far, Israel has only offset the salaries transferred to Palestinian prisoners, released prisoners and their families, which reached NIS 500 million in 2018. The new amount will be added to the previous amount, and will amount to NIS 650 million for that year. After Cabinet ministers are approved, the amount of tax money that Israel will transfer to the PA will be deducted and frozen.

The move is being added to a series of actions led by Minister Bennett in the economic sphere against terrorism, after he signed initial orders of its kind in recent weeks to chase terrorists around the world and last week signed the same order that decides money from Israeli Arab terrorists.

According to the Palestinian Freeze Law on Terrorism Funds, approved in July 2018, at the end of each year, the Minister of Defense will approve a Cabinet report detailing the total amount paid by the Palestinian Authority to their terrorists and their families in the past year. Bennett on Wednesday signed a foreclosure order for the families of eight Israeli terrorists, amounting to hundreds of thousands of shekels. The terrorists are Israelis convicted of terrorist offenses, and five of them were sentenced to life in prison.

The order relates to the monthly salaries that these terrorists receive from the Palestinian Authority for the terrorist offenses they have committed, and as mentioned above also applies to the beneficiaries, such as family members, who receive the funds.
