When they succeed in the internal elections amounts to four percent more than that of Moshe Feiglin in the previous primaries against Netanyahu, it is clear to Gideon Sa'ar, a long-winded and polished political fox, who did not read the map correctly. That the mistake that led him to place his candidacy was not in the way he drove, but in essence.

Saar did not fail to run an unsuccessful campaign or target the messages. It is also impossible to say that his headquarters did not work or that the campaign was faltering. Everything was just like a clock. Sa'ar has reached this election to the maximum of his ability given the available data.

The defeat of Sa'ar lies in the loss of understanding of the size of the hour. He thought, mistakenly, that the prospect of giving Likudniks to stay in power would run for them and, as a result, prefer to abandon the leader, who he has twice admired but failed, and move to support him as someone who could bring further rule, albeit a rotational one, to the big right party.

But Likudniks are already elsewhere. While government is important, there are important challenges to it. The sense of persecution, usually built into the camp, is at its peak today. These are not just the left and the media, but all the state systems, from the police and prosecutors to the Supreme Court. Although Netanyahu is struggling personally, the feeling is that the address is anything but.

In this sense, the victory of Saar, despite the promise that the Likud would have remained in power, was seen as their first victory. Of the bad guys. Of the pursuers. They wanted to overthrow Netanyahu and Saar's victory, so the entire camp, or at least those with voting rights in the Likud, did not give them the pleasure. And win them the only arena they can't influence - at the ballot box.

Results of Likud primaries

Sa'ar, who did not recognize the size of the hour and the voices of distress heard from the camp he purported to lead, not only failed to shake off the same forces - he gave himself up, warmed to their addictive light and thought every day that the new image they created would lead him to the leadership. But what happened is just the opposite - this hug was suspicious, the paragon was alarming.

When all political enemies, from the media to the opposition, are attached to the same interest, the Likud instinct escapes like a fire. Saar was beloved until this race. Today he is already with them, theirs, selling his soul. It will take him a long time to repair the damage of the primaries of 2019 if he intends to remain part of the Likud and regain the support of activists. If Sa'ar thought that this election would be a bounce, he'd found out in recent days that they were actually ignorant.

The Likud primaries are not detached from the moods of the entire right-wing camp. It was not for the first time that Netanyahu's supporters in his party's internal elections were other party leaders. Maria Deri and Yaakov Litzman to Naftali Bennett and Rabbi Rafi Peretz. Netanyahu did not want this election and initially thought it would be possible to replace it with a procedural approval at the Likud Center that ratified his position as chairman.

Today, it turns out that the journey he went through, and the victory picture he passed, is no substitute. Although there is no single poll today that gives the right-wing camp a 61-seat victory - if the trend changes later, the key to this is last week's preliminary elections. And the flowers stir.
