Engineer Ali Ghanem, Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, visited the southern central gas plant after completing the reforms completely, as a result of being targeted by terrorist gangs about a week ago.
Ghanem, in a statement to reporters, noted the efforts of workers who proved themselves to be responsible as they completed the reforms and treated the damages that afflicted the factory within less than three days and returned to production in conjunction with the end of the reforms resulting from terrorism at the Homs refinery in the gasoline improvement unit.
The Minister of Oil also visited the two gas wells “Sharifah 2” and “Sharifah 104” from the “Sharifah” fields east of Homs, which were entered into production about 15 days ago.
Ghanem pointed out that the lines were accomplished in a record time of 15 days and with pure national experiences through the continuous intensification of the workshops in cooperation with the Military Construction Company, with a length of 16 km and a diameter of 8 inches, after which the line was cleared and connected to the Qumqam gas station.
Engineer Salman Gharib, Director of the Central Region Fields, indicated in a statement to SANA that the region is gas invented and the two wells that have been put into service, producing approximately one million cubic meters.
The minister also visited the drilling site in the "Sharifa 5" field, a new site where the drilling exceeded the "300" meters and within two months it could be in production.
At the end of the tour, the Minister of Oil chaired a meeting tracking implementation plans that included most of the directors of institutions and companies affiliated to the Ministry, and their plans and what were achieved during the past period and future projects for them were reviewed.
