PolyU refers to the detection of major chemical components that are tear gas residues, including: dioxins, total cyanides, total polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and o-chlorobenzylidene Malononitrile (active ingredient of CS powder). The school has received all the test results of the water quality, soil and environmental surface wipe test samples, and according to the recognized standards set by the relevant local or international government departments and agencies, the relevant soil, tap water, pollutants contained in the wipe samples, and air The CS powders contained in the samples were far below the relevant safety standard limits.
PolyU emphasized that safety inspections have been carried out on various buildings, including assessing the structural safety of the buildings, conducting indoor air testing, cleaning air-conditioning filters, and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting individual buildings.
