NIS 600,000 - this is the amount the 83-year-old Holocaust survivor stole from Ashkelon who lost his eyesight. An indictment filed today (47) against 47-year-old Anat Dayan in Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court shows she committed the theft while she was working at the elderly man's home as an aide.

According to the indictment, she took advantage of her access to his credit card, which she received for shopping for him, and purchased various items for herself. To balance his credit, she withdrew cash from the checks forged his signature.

The victim's son revealed her actions and reported them to the police. Dayan was investigated and today the indictment was filed. The Southern District Attorney's Office sought to extend her arrest until the end of the legal proceedings against her.
