In an effort to stimulate domestic tourism, the tourism sector launched an initiative that aims to reduce the material cost and provide discounts and offers in the catering and housing facilities and hotels in various governorates during the winter season.
Companies from the private and public sectors joined the initiative and worked to reduce prices and winter residence wages according to the marketing policies, as the discounts ranged between 25 and 50 percent for citizens and continue until the first of April 2020.
Mohamed Khaddour, president of the Federation of Chambers of Tourism, explained to the delegate of Sana that the discounts included feeding and overnight catering facilities that provided prices and thoughtful meals, including hotels (Damaroz Sheraton Damascus) and (quail Lamira Rivera Riyadh) in Latakia and hotels (Rosemary Dreikish and Baloubi chalets) in Tartous and Riga Palace and Pullman Al-Shahba and Aleppo Palace And the garden in Aleppo and the (Ambassador of Homs) hotel in Homs.
Khaddour pointed out that the federation's action plan includes a set of interim goals to advance the development of the tourism sector and stimulate tourism investment, in order to contribute to removing obstacles for investors and owners of tourist facilities and tourist work sites and to set up a mechanism to develop and update decisions in cooperation with the Ministry, which contributes to improving the performance of facilities and raising the level of quality and services Introduction.
The Ministry of Tourism seeks to address the troubled tourism projects in the various governorates as quickly as possible after the recovery of the tourism sector and the increase in the requirements of the labor market and the facilities provided in the previous period and the demand for tourism investment.
