Due to political and legal developments, MK Yaakov Litzman was appointed Acting Minister of Health.

Litzman has so far served in the Ministry of Health in the role of "Deputy Minister in Ministerial Status", since the rabbis subject to his faction "Torah Judaism" preferred that the ultra-Orthodox Knesset members should not serve as ministers. However, recently it became clear that the powers of "Deputy Minister in Ministerial Status" transferred to Litzman at the time are not valid in the appointment of a Minister above him who is not Prime Minister, the Torah Council approved the appointment.

The court decided: indictments against the prime minister for bribery, fraud and breach of trust

Recall, two weeks ago, the Movement for Quality Government petitioned the High Court, demanding that in light of the seriousness of the suspicions against Prime Minister Netanyahu, the court ordered his resignation as minister. In response, Netanyahu responded that "the Prime Minister announces that he will cease to serve as Minister until 1.1.2020 It will appoint other ministers. The Prime Minister will continue to serve as Israeli Prime Minister as stipulated in the law.

In the meantime, Litzman's appointment is causing much anger in Australia. Remember, Litzman is suspected of acting on behalf of Queen Leiper, who is suspected of indecent acts of Jewish minors at the school she worked in Australia, and tried to prevent her extradition to the mainland. Australian Zionist Federation President Jeremy Leibler wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu, which he also circulated on Twitter. "Litzman's appointment as Minister of Health is a slap in the face of the Jewish community, Australian immigrants and especially families of victims of the crimes allegedly committed by Leiper," Leibler wrote. "The Jewish community in Australia is a true member of Israel, but companies need to go both ways. I urge you to reconsider this appointment, at least until the suspicions against Litzman become clear."
