A man, apparently of African American descent, entered a rabbi's home in New York state during a Chanukah party and began stabbing people. mortal

At least five Jews were stabbed in the morning (Israel Watch) at a rabbi's home in the city of Monsey, New York, during a Chanukah party. Initial reports said an African-American man in a manchette arrived on the scene, and after entering the house took off a scarf or headgear and began stabbing people. Various reports indicate that there are between three and five injured, in an incident that appears to be anti-Semitic. The condition of one of the injured was defined by the medical teams as human.

Near 22:00 New York time, a call was received from the police center about a mass stabbing event. The Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council reported that five people, all ultra-Orthodox, were stabbed near or inside the home of Rabbi Rotenberg, who lives in the Monsey neighborhood. Two of the injured, it was reported, are in critical condition, but the credibility of the report is unclear.

Moti Seligson, communications director of the Chabad.org website, reported that the event began during the Chanukah party at the rabbi's house. During or after the menorah ceremony, a person entered the scene and started stabbing people. According to various reports, the stabber has an African-American appearance. "He went crazy with Manchetta," one eyewitness said. "The attacker entered the rabbi's house and started stabbing people. Someone took a small table and threw it on him. The attacker tried to enter the nearby synagogue, but the worshipers blocked his way.

"Jews are injured again," wrote Dov Hakind, a former New York State official. "An attack on a Jew is an attack on all Jews - we are on our way to help as much as we can for the community."

Monsey is a prominent Jewish center in the United States and operates several Hasidic communities, including Vizhnitz Hasassi and Satmar Hasidic Hasidic and more. It also has the Upper Beit Midrash Yeshiva, community and other Lithuanian institutions. Last month, a 30-year-old ultra-Orthodox man was stabbed on Mae Street in Muncie. The condition of the injured person was defined as critical.

During the Chanukah holiday, six hate crimes were reported against Jews in New York, and it was all decided at the municipality yesterday (Saturday) to increase police presence in a number of neighborhoods with a large Jewish population in Brooklyn. Mayor Bill de Bellagio, made it clear that "anyone who terrorizes our Jewish community will face justice." However, the current incident took place outside the city itself, except in the city of Monsey located in its suburbs, and it is unclear what degree of security there was, if any.
