(CNN) - The Golden Globe-winning actress Sharon Stone revealed that she was expelled from the Bumble dating site because other users had reported her profile, because they didn't believe it was genuine.

Stone, 61, best known for starring in the 1992 drama "Basic Instinct," said it was blocked from his account after other users claimed it was fake.

“I went to the @bumble dating app and they closed my account,” he wrote in a Twitter post.

Stone said other users thought the profile "could not be me!"

She added: “Hey @bumble, are you excluding me? Don't exclude me from the hive. ”

Bumble, who describes herself on Twitter as "uniting good people," later restored her account.

“There can only be one Queen Stone 👑. It seems that our users thought it was too good to be true, ”the company wrote on Twitter.

“We have ensured that you will not be blocked again. We hope everyone in our community takes a second to verify their profiles. (Catherine Tramell of Basic Instinct gets a pass today! ”)

Bumble's editorial director, Clare O'Connor, added that she hoped it would now be easier to "find your love."

In 1984, Stone married producer Michael Greenburg, but the couple separated three years later.

His second marriage was with journalist Phil Bronstein in 1998, which lasted until 2004 when his divorce was finalized.

In 2018, he told Grazia magazine that he had high expectations for men in his life.

“It just wasn't that girl who was told that a man would define me,” he explained. “They told me that if I wanted to have a man in my life, it wouldn't be an agreement, it would be a real partnership. And that is hard to find. ”
