(CNN Spanish) - The former president of Bolivia Evo Morales said Sunday that there will be a meeting on January 19 in Buenos Aires to define the candidates of his party, the Movement to Socialism (MAS), ahead of the next general elections.

At a press conference held in the Argentine capital, the ex-president announced that there are “four or five candidates” among whom are Diego Pary, who was his chancellor for a little over a year, and Luis Arce, former Minister of Economy.

Morales made this announcement after a meeting with MAS leaders.

The former president, who is in Argentina as an asylee, said that "I would have to move to the Tropic of Cochabamba to vote", given the announcement of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal that for the new elections there will be no registration process for residents abroad who are not registered to vote.

"I have not decided yet, but I think that if there is no registration here, I would have to move," Morales said when asked by CNN about the issue.

The members of the TSE estimate to announce the call for general elections on January 2, in a maximum of 120 days.
