Trump has been updated by his senior national security advisers on US attacks against the Hezbollah Battalion terrorist organization, which the United States claims is under Iranian-sponsored Iraq and Syria. According to Iraqi security forces and militia, at least 25 of the organization's fighters were killed and another 55 wounded following the three US strikes in Iraq. Among those killed were at least four local Hezbollah commanders.
The Pentagon said the attacks were aimed at three centers of the Shiite Muslim militia, which included weapons storage facilities and command and control centers where terrorists used to plan terrorist attacks against coalition forces. According to a U.S. official, the attacks were carried out by 15-F fighter jets.
