[New Year's Day Parade ‧ Live] Repeated clashes on Hong Kong Island, multiple people arrested in Causeway Bay, police explain details

The FDC launched a New Year's Day parade today (1st) from Victoria Park's central lawn to the Chater Road pedestrian zone. Police clashes broke out at 4 pm. The peripheral boards of the HSBC branch of Hennessy Road in Wan Chai were painted and damaged. Police officers arrived Once at the scene, they raised guns and sprayed pepper spray. Demonstrators confronted with "umbrella arrays" and had thrown petrol bombs. The riot police arrived at the scene and fired tear gas.
