New Year's Eve: A teenager was killed in an accident, hundreds needed medical attention
A 17-year-old was killed in an ATV turnaround in Major in Galilee. At the same time, MDA teams assisted and evacuated hundreds of people across the country, including 51 who were affected by brawls and a similar volume of youth and adults in need of alcohol-related treatment.

Photo: Reuters, Edit: Shaul AdamA 17-year-old boy was killed on Wednesday night in an altercation with an ATV in Major in the Galilee. The boy was severely injured, evacuated by MDA staff to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, but there despite his efforts, his death was determined. Police opened investigations into the circumstances of the accident.
At the same time, during celebrations during the New Year's Day celebrations across the country, MDA teams provided medical care to hundreds of people. Among other things, 13 more people were injured in road accidents. A 42-year-old man in moderate condition with a brawl in Tel Aviv and a minor permit.
MDA teams also provided care for 49 teens and adults in mild and stable condition who needed assistance and evacuation to hospitals after consuming alcohol. Seven of the casualties were evacuated to hospitals after fainting. Also, three maternity women who gave birth.
