The country's media showed a record of investigators entering the compound in Tokyo, the third where Goshen had lived since he was first arrested about a year ago.
It is still unclear how Goshen escaped from close supervision in Japan and appeared in Lebanon. The other day he said in a statement that he had abandoned Japan because he believed the justice system there was unjust, and wanted to avoid "political persecution." Goshen promised to talk to reporters later this week. Japanese media reported that there were no official records of Goshen's departure from the country, but a private jet departed from a local airport to Turkey. In some reports of his escape, he was reported to have sneaked out of his home and hid in a bag of musical instruments.

Japan and Lebanon do not have a mutual extradition agreement. In Beirut they said that Goshen had entered the country legally and that there was no reason to take any action against him. His lawyers, located in Japan, said they had no information about the escape and that all his passports were in their hands. Goshen, of Lebanese descent, holds French, Lebanese and Brazilian citizenship. Japan's public broadcast network reported that Goshen had two French passports. In Japan, there were no records of Goshen's departure from the country, but it was found that a private jet left a regional airport to Turkey.
In the background, seven people were arrested in Turkey on suspicion of involvement in Goshen's escape, including four pilots - NTV reported.

Meanwhile, the Tokyo District Court canceled the bail on Goshen, Japanese media reported. That means authorities will repay the 1.5 billion yen ($ 14 million) amount Goshen transferred to get out of custody in two separate kits. Goshen was first arrested in November 2018, released and then remanded.
Goshen awaited trial, which was due in April, on four charges of "misconduct". It is still unclear how the Japanese authorities may investigate his escape. However, the legal action is still pending against Nissan as another member and director of the company, the American Greg Kelly, who also claims he is innocent. The charges against Kelly partly overlap with the charges against Goshen.
