“Every time I prepared to pay the money, my children needed something,” he explained. Then, a trip “changed his life.” So she has returned the favor.

Latonya Young worked as a stylist during the day and as an Uber driver at night. He had already given up his dream of graduating from college. And then, as in a Christmas story, one of his clients changed his life.

The 43-year-old woman picked up a passenger in front of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (Georgia). During the journey, Young, who is a single mother, told her client that she had left school at age 16 to raise her first child.

Later he began his studies at Georgia State University, but could not graduate for a debt of $ 700.

“Every time I prepared to pay the money, my children needed something. I said to myself, 'Okay, I'll just wait, ”the woman told her passenger.

A few days later, Young received a telephone communication from the school.

"The message read: 'You can register for classes now.' I was literally impressed. A stranger had never done anything like that for me, ”the woman told CNN news.

The man, Kevin Esch, went to a couple of weeks ago to the graduation of the woman, who thus obtained his associate's degree in criminal justice.

"As he paid the balance, I had to do this for him," Young explained, "I kept my grades in A and B." "I just try to do everything to make sure I know that I appreciate it," he added.

This month she will return to classes to start a bachelor's degree and try to become a lawyer.

"That trip changed my life," he concluded.

Contacted by the WSB-TV network, Esch said Young is an inspiration, and was blessed to have had the opportunity to help her.
