A car accident that involved several vehicles in the early hours of Sunday, including a bus, has left at least five fatalities on a Pennsylvania highway.
Likewise, some 60 people were admitted to several hospitals with injuries, according to Carl DeFebo, commissioner of the Turnpike highway system in Pennsylvania.
At least nine among the injured are minors, according to Mount Pleasant Fick Hospital.

In addition to the bus, two trucks and possibly some cars were involved in the accident, DeFebo told NBC News .
The causes of the event are still unclear, he added.

The accident occurred in Westmoreland County, near Pittsburgh, around mile 86.
The incident caused the closure of the Pennsylvania toll road between New Stanton at exit 75 and Breezewood at exit 161, DeFebo tweeted. The cut is expected to continue for several hours.
