An earthquake of magnitude 6.5 was recorded this Saturday night in the State of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico. The telluric movement occurred at 10.40 pm and had its epicenter 38 kilometers (23.6 miles) southeast of Unión Hidalgo, according to the National Seismological Service. For now, no injured people or infrastructure damage have been reported.

The Sky Alert application indicated that it was felt in Chiapas, Tabasco, Veracruz, Puebla, Morelos, State of Mexico and was slightly noticeable at various points in Mexico City. The majority with mild intensity except in coastal towns in Oaxaca.
