Will Guaidó continue as president of the National Assembly? 6:25

(CNN Spanish) - Several soldiers of the National Guard of Venezuela blocked the entry of several deputies to the headquarters of the National Assembly, in Caracas.

The Legislative Power is scheduled to elect its board of directors this Sunday for the next 12 months.

Live images from local television station Vivoplay showed Juan Guaidó asking for access to the soldiers.

Guaidó asked one of the military why they could not pass and he replied "that it is a security device" and that "it is protocol."

"Today, who helps prevent the legitimate installation of the Venezuelan Parliament becomes an accomplice of the dictatorship and an accomplice of those who are oppressing the people of Venezuela," Guaidó wrote in his Twitter account about what happened.

Today, whoever helps prevent the legitimate installation of the Venezuelan Parliament becomes an accomplice of the dictatorship and an accomplice of those who are oppressing the people of Venezuela.

They will be exposed to their relatives, the country and the world!
