The spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sari, announced the shooting down of a reconnaissance plane belonging to the Saudi aggression forces in Al-Jawf governorate, northern Yemen.
Al-Masirah Net website quoted Brigadier-General Sari as saying today that "the CH-4 aircraft was shot down by a surface-to-air missile, which will be revealed at a later time."
Surei indicated that this aircraft is the third of its kind to be shot down while carrying out hostilities.
The air defenses of the Yemeni army and the popular committees had shot down several spy planes belonging to the Saudi aggression forces during the past months, the last of which was on the third of January, opposite Jizan.
