(JTA) - Chabad emissaries around the world have been instructed to keep "on high alert" following the assassination of Qassem Suleimani. .

"It is likely that Suleimani's death will escalate the existing US-Iran conflict, and there is a high likelihood that Iran will initiate retaliatory action either directly or indirectly. And rising tensions could increase the risk and threat to Jewish facilities and Chabad centers, "the Hasidic movement's statement said.
