The US Air Force sent six B-52 bombers to base on Diego Garcia Island in Indian Ocean, aiming to increase threat against Iran following the death of Revolutionary Quds Force commander Kassem Suleimani, in light of increased tension, senior defense ministry officials confirmed Tuesday "Fox News."
The Pentagon-approved move, which CNN first reported, is the latest in a series of efforts by U.S. military officials to bolster their array of forces in the Middle East region. This, after the Hezbollah battalions in Iraq, one of the pro-Iranian suspected terrorist organizations, hinted that they would carry out a retaliatory attack on revenge for the Suleiman assassination.
