Hashtag # World War III has begun to gain momentum on social networks after the assassination of Iranian Quds Force commander Kassem Suleimani last Thursday in Baghdad. After his death, Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei announced revenge, adding: "I, the government and the Iranian people strongly condemn this American crime." Indeed, in the United States, the Iranian retaliation is underway. US officials have stated to the Associated Press that Iran has raised its military alert in the country and is preparing for an "eye-to-eye" revenge that would include an attempt to strike a senior U.S. military commander. At the same time, Hezbollah Secretary Hassan Nasrallah also said that Suleimani's assassination was "the beginning of a new phase for the entire region."
Now millions around the world are worried about a future assassination or military action / terrorist attack that could ignite a chain of events that will lead to full-scale war.

The list is based on the World Peace Index of the Institute of Economics and Peace, which ranks 162 countries in the world according to their degree of peace and tranquility. The main factors affecting the index are the level of violence and crime within the borders of the state, and the level of external threat to it from countries and other factors.
According to the index, the safest and most peaceful country is Iceland. Iceland's population amounts to 339,000, the country has no army, it is in a remote and NATO-protected position. The first of the most peaceful countries in the world since the ranking began in 2008.

New Zealand came in second on the list, as it is also remote and has a population of 4.8 million. Portugal came third, with a considerable advantage over its neighbors. In fourth place you will find Austria, in fifth in Denmark, in sixth in Canada and in seventh in Singapore. The last 3 places in the top ten occupy Slovenia, Japan and the Czech Republic respectively.
Israel, of course, is not on the list of safe countries in the world, but it is also not the last. Afghanistan has been ranked as the most dangerous country in the world and faces Syria, South Sudan, Yemen, Iraq and Somalia. But in case you thought you were safe here, you should know that Israel ranks 146th in the Peaceful States Index.
