It was only recently reported that the shocking wildfire in Australia found their deaths as a billion and a half animals. Here's a story, though small, that will give us little room for comfort: a vocal Borders bitch named Pasti saved the wave of fires that consumed Australia with a whole flock of sheep, and received a huge wave of praise on the net.

Pasti, who lives on a farm in the state of Victoria, noticed a large fire approaching the herd of sheep. She was not alarmed by the situation and led the flock of sheep into the barn, saving most of the herd, while the farm owners worked on the fire with other ranchers.

Many people have asked for the original video of Patsy to be put up, so here it is .... when I stood in this burnt black paddock after the fire ripped through our family farm in Corryong, all I wanted to do was show our friends and family that we were ok, that we were still here, and that even in all the devastation we still had so much to be grateful for. So many others have lost quite literally everything they have. I never dreamed that these 20 seconds of Patsy in a paddock would spread across the world, and that posting pictures of a little black and white dog would become my way to help my hometown recover from the worst fires in living memory. It's funny how life works sometimes ... These fires are not over. Not even close to being over. They will burn for weeks, months even, and communities all over Australia are going to hit just like Corryong has been. Our fire season here isn't even half way through, and it seems like nowhere is safe. It's easy to feel helpless. But, it's also easy to help. Make a donation to bushfire relief, no matter how small it is, trust me it will be appreciated. Every little bit helps!

Farm owner's sister Cath Hill released a video of a pasty sitting on the ground, with the sky orange-brown, the horizon and everything is sword and desolate. Cath wrote alongside the video: "It's Pasti, my brother's heroine bitch who saved his herd."

"Here all the ranchers are working to save the animals and shoot those who cannot be rescued because they have been injured. Everyone here sets up temporary fences to stop the fire, feed the animals and work around the clock. Cath added.

Cath also said that "after Patsy rescued and rescued the sheep, I came and blessed her. I told her - 'Well done you do your job'."

The rural town of Kuroriong, which happened to be the case, organized places of residence not only for humans but also for the many animals that the residents hold and earn a living. The fires in Australia have been going on for several months and their end is still not in sight.
