An Australian citizen, Karen Miligan, was in her boat, off the coast of Australia in southwestern Perth, while her partner Gary Johnson, who was diving in the water near the boat, was devoured in front of her eyes by a white starch shark.
The terrified woman screamed on the Help Network to save her life partner. Sailor Glenn Quinlivan, who was staying in a nearby boat, rushed to the scene with a number of friends to help but was late. Gary Johnson's body was not found and the search for her continued.

"We found his dive fins and part of his dive suit. We searched for a lot of time in the water hoping he might just be wounded but to no avail. "We often told ourselves that if a shark attacked us it would be really unlucky. We were very opposed to killing sharks and I still oppose this killing despite what happened. ", The grieving woman wrote.
