Tunisian parliamentarians today refused to give confidence to members of the government of Prime Minister-designate Habib El-Gamli.
Media outlets reported that 72 deputies agreed to give confidence to the Al-Gamali government, while 134 rejected, knowing that the government needs 109 votes to obtain approval.
Tunisian President Qais Said is scheduled to appoint another figure he chooses to form the government. If it does not succeed in obtaining the confidence of parliament, the president will call for new elections.
On November 15th, the Tunisian president was appointed as the candidate of the Ennahda movement to form a government.
