Four days to close the lists, pressure on Labor Party chairman Amir Peretz to join forces with Meretz Meretz Chairman Nitzan Horowitz is expected to meet with Peretz tomorrow (Meretz conference), which was scheduled to convene tomorrow to finalize the camp list The Democratic Knesset was rejected Tuesday to allow more time for negotiations with Labor. At the same time, the Labor Party will convene tomorrow afternoon for a crucial debate on the unions on the left.

The party convenes after a series of Labor MPs publicly called Peretz to join Meretz: MK Itzik Shmuli yesterday published an article in Haaretz under the headline "No union in the left Nobs in the campaign", in which he called for a technical connection between Labor and Meretz. In white and blue. Molly called on blue and white to temporarily arm Knesset members from Labor and Meretz on their list, and to change the key to the distribution of files in the future government that would emerge to bring about a unification between Labor and Meretz.

After Molly, MK Amar Bar-Lev announced this evening in an interview to "Meet the Press" on Channel 12, that he supports the establishment of a technical bloc between Labor-Bridge and Meretz. "The decision was not easy in light of my concern, which still exists, that the connection with Meretz will end. Closer to six seats than the 11 we have together now, and a white blue will not count us after the next election - just as she has not counted us so far - and may even form a right-wing government with Lieberman, Bennett and the Likud, with or without Netanyahu. On the other hand, there is the danger, of course, that Meretz will not pass the blocking percentage and that the responsibility for it will fall on us, "Bar-Lev explained.

Shmuli welcomed Bar-Lev's statement that he had made the "right decision", and urged other Knesset members to join his proposal. This, he said, "to prevent a possible catastrophe and maximize the power of the change camp."

"Walking separately is an outright walk," Shmuli said. "If 150,000 votes go to waste because of a dangerous and unnecessary gamble - we will hand over our power to Netanyahu and it will be unforgivable. This is not an ideological connection but a pragmatic situation in which the two parties are small and fragile and may not pass the barrier."

In general, Peretz has expressed strong opposition to the merger with Meretz in recent weeks, as has his leadership partner, Orly Levi-Abaxis, who insisted the list would run independently. However, in recent days Peretz's associates have begun to suggest that he might reconsider his position. The real concern that one of the left parties will not pass the blockade is that Meretz puts heavy pressure on Peretz to join a technical block and a joint run, as do most MKs at work.

At the same time, there is a battle between Meretz and MK Shapir on the continuation of the partnership in the Democratic camp, created in the previous election by Meretz's connection with Shapir and the Israeli Democratic Party, which was then headed by Ehud Barak. At this stage there is a disconnect between the Democratic camp and Shapir. 5 on the list, but do not actually negotiate because of their desire to first work for a bridge-work.

Blue and White are trying to push Peretz to run on Meretz's list, and party chairman Benny Gantz called in a party meeting Tuesday to "unite left-wing parties." Knesset member Orna Barbayai said today in an event in Givatayim that "Peretz will make a mistake if he does not connect with Meretz. He agreed to shave his mustache to say that he would not join Netanyahu, but if he did not make the necessary unification and the parties did not pass the blockade, he would actually submit to Netanyahu the results of the election.

On Peretz's proposal, which called for a joint run of the bloc parties in one note, Barbaybai said: "From the beginning, it was not a serious proposal. In this election, everything has to be done so it doesn't happen. "
