The Minister for the Ecological Transition believes that the government "will have to clarify the situation" for Ségolène Royal, who does not

Elisabeth Borne bangs her fist on the table on the Ségolène Royal case. For some time now, the Minister for the Ecological Transition has not concealed her annoyance at the one who is the Poles' ambassador and who does not refrain from beating the government. In recent days, she has even started a tour to support socialist candidates for municipal elections. She was in Toulouse on Friday. A few days ago, the Minister reminded her of the order, this time she ordered her to choose her cap.

"Ségolène Royal will have to make a choice, either she wants to remain an ambassador and obviously there is a duty of reserve," explains Elisabeth Borne. Either she wants to have her freedom of speech, and I understand that she is very attached to her freedom of speech, and in this case she must no longer be an ambassador subject to an obligation of reserve ”

Royal notably criticized the pension reform

"We will have to clarify the situations together," insisted Elisabeth Borne again. We have to make choices ”.

The former socialist presidential candidate of 2007 has recently increased the attacks on the government, publishing in December tweets criticizing the power on pesticides, the pension reform, as well as the proximity of Emmanuel Macron with "the world of global business".

Ségolène Royal should soon receive a summons to the National Assembly to explain her record as ambassador of the Poles, a position to which she was appointed by President Emmanuel Macron. She was questioned, last November by an investigation by Radio France accusing her in particular of using her position - for which she is not remunerated - and of her three collaborators, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to promote personal activities.
