Tripoli-Sana

The Libyan army announced today the shooting down of a Turkish plane, south of the capital, Tripoli.

The media center of the Karama Operations Chamber said in a statement today: "A Turkish march plane carrying mortar shells was shot down by the 128th Infantry Battalion," considering that the flight of the Turkish march constitutes a violation of the cease-fire that the parties to the conflict in Libya announced last night to abide by.

The Libyan army led by Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter announced the cessation of hostilities in the western region of the country, which includes the capital, Tripoli, from today.

The Libyan army has shot down many Turkish drones over the past weeks.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan's regime is proceeding with its plans to devote its intervention in Libya by sending troops to it, as part of its ambitions to plunder the wealth of this country and expand its influence in the region.
