Tehran-Sana
The forensic medicine organization in Iran announced today that 50 victims of the Ukrainian plane that crashed near Tehran airport last Wednesday were identified.
"Fars News Agency" quoted the head of the organization, Abbas Masjedi, as saying during a press conference that "15 teams of forensic experts began the task of identifying the bodies of the bodies", adding that 800 samples were collected and the identification process of the victims was carried out despite the US embargo.
And my mosque pointed out that 142 families of the plane's victims reviewed the forensic medicine. So far, 50 people have been identified and within the next five days, the identification of the bodies will be completed and handed over to their families according to a judicial order.
"The forensic medicine organization is in contact with the international police to determine the identity of the crew and foreign passengers," he said, noting that the priority was to identify the bodies of Iranian citizens.
It is noteworthy that a Ukrainian Boeing 737 plane crashed shortly after its take-off last Wednesday from Imam Khomeini Airport, southwest of Tehran, after it was hit by a missile by the air defense, killing all 167 passengers, mostly Iranians, and the 9-person crew.
