A formal discussion session was held between the government delegation headed by Eng. Imad Khamis, Prime Minister and First Vice President, Ishaq Jahangiri, on bilateral relations between Syria and Iran and the most important bilateral and regional issues.
Discussions focused this morning at the Republican Palace at the Saadabad Cultural Presidential Complex in Tehran with the participation of members of the Syrian delegation, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Walid Muallem, Minister of Defense, General Ayoub and the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Adnan Mahmoud, on bilateral relations between Syria and Iran, ways of enhancing them and regional and international transformations. And other topics of common interest between the two countries.
An official reception ceremony took place for the engineer Khamis and the accompanying delegation, where the two national anthems were played, and the guard of honor was reviewed.
The engineer, Khamis, arrived yesterday evening to the Iranian capital at the head of a government delegation that includes Moallem and Ayoub.
