The suspected rabbi in conducting a cult at the Beer Miriam seminar in the Bukharan neighborhood of Jerusalem is Aaron Ramati - Tuesday, the district court allowed the release of the district court in Jerusalem, after Judge Miriam Lipshitz rejected the defense's request for a ban. 60-year-old Ramati was arrested yesterday along with nine women following a raid on the compound on suspicion of operating a sect. It is suspected that the rabbi held dozens of women in slavery and occupation conditions and even attacked children. Yesterday, his arrest was extended until Sunday.

Attorney Gabi Trunshvili, who represents Ramati on behalf of the public defense attorney, said: "Naturally, when it comes to a large-scale investigation with the potential to reach additional casualties, this is the position of the court. But I think otherwise and that it was appropriate to leave the publicity ban because he was previously suspected of those offenses and nothing came of it, and no suspicions were made. "

He also said that "this is also the reason we stood for the publicity ban and the court did not accept my position. A ransom completely, never hurt anyone. Waiting for a moment to face suspicions so he can give answers and explanations."

The offenses attributed to Ramati are possession of slavery, conspiracy to commit crime, assaulting a minor and causing sabotage, on a woman's cause and possession. It is also suspected that in his home there was also a kindergarten, which he managed while attacking children. He is also suspected of having sexual and intimate relationships with one of the seminary girls who was subject to him and obeyed his instructions, and was therefore suspected of being raped by a cleric.

Ramati had previously been arrested on suspicion of threats, false imprisonment and fraudulently receiving anything, but many of the girls stood by him and argued that the suspicions against him were untrue. Finally, he was charged last month with receiving fraudulently under aggravated circumstances on the grounds of receiving support from the Ministry of Education.

Dozens of adult girls are taught in the "Be'er Miriam" midrash, which I cherish by Rabban and their revered teacher. In 2011, Rabbi Elyashiv and Rabbi Ovadia Yosef signed a letter calling for the place to be closed. Former Knesset Member Nissim Ze'ev also worked to close the Mossad and even sued Ramati for prosecution of the Torah, but the discussion on the issue was finally held. Another factor that worked on the issue was the Israeli Center for Victims of Cults, which defined the place as a cult according to the evidence accumulated in its offices.
