Russian news agency Tass reported Tuesday that Moscow is not considering the possibility of possible exchanges for Israeli prisoner Naama Issachar, who is imprisoned in the Russian prison.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov was quoted in the news agency Tass as saying: "To my knowledge, the option of a prisoner exchange deal is not currently being considered." Deputy Foreign Minister added: "She was convicted of criminal charges. As for Issachar's complaints to the European Court of Human Rights, it is the job of her lawyers. We cannot advise anything on the matter. That is her right."
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday sent a letter to Naama Issachar, who was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for smuggling 9.5 grams of a cannabis drug. In his letter, the prime minister wrote: "The citizens of the state think of you. We do not abandon anyone to his fate, and so does your case. The State of Israel and I are constantly endeavoring to bring you to discharge. ".
