Providing Tartous grants loans worth more than 9.5 billion pounds during the past year

The Branch of the Savings Bank in Tartus granted 8241 loans during the past year between development loans for workers in the state, the military, and self-employed in addition to the loans provided to retirees through the branch offices deployed in the governorate in Safita, Dreikish, Al Qaddous, Banias and Tartous City Office.

The Director of the Savings Bank Branch in the Governorate, Emile Dawoud, said in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the value of the loans granted during the past year amounted to more than nine billion five hundred million Syrian pounds, distributed among development loans to different segments of employees, retirees and owners of free professions, adding that the bank granted loans to owners of scientific professions even Fifty million Syrian pounds for a single loan and twenty-five million for self-employed with a real estate guarantee, while the value of the loan for workers in the public sector and the military reaches one million pounds and for retirees five hundred thousand Syrian pounds.

Dawood pointed out that the credit plan followed is a quarterly plan, pointing out that the first quarter plan for 2020 amounts to two billion and five hundred thousand Syrian pounds.
