Reportedly, Prime Minister Netanyahu's telephone conversation with Russian President Putin was warm and interesting.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on Thursday with Russian President Vladimir Putin about developments in the region and Naama Issachar's affairs. According to the report, the conversation was warm and matter-of-fact and reinforced the Prime Minister's optimism that Issachar's release matter is moving towards a solution.

This conversation comes just two days ago, the Russian news agency Tass reported that Moscow was not considering the possibility of possible exchanges for Israeli prisoner Naama Issachar, who was imprisoned in the Russian prison.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov was quoted in the news agency Tass as saying: "To my knowledge, the option of a prisoner exchange deal is not currently being considered." Deputy Foreign Minister added: "She was convicted of criminal charges. As for Issachar's complaints to the European Court of Human Rights, it is the job of her lawyers. We cannot advise anything on the matter. That is her right."
