In fact, the first ones were before us. The English have embarked on the Jewish prime minister's trick 150 years ago and have appointed Benjamin D. Yisraeli to head London's parliament. While Israeli was baptized into Christianity as a child, he did not stop expressing his sympathy for the Jewish people in sharp sentences that stung anti-Semitism like a sentence that told his sworn political rival: "While your ancestors raised pigs, my ancestors wrote the Bible."

Crossing the canal and arriving in France, the country outside Israel chose the most Jewish prime ministers. Six (!) Prime ministers of Jewish origin have served in France for the past 100 years, with the former - Leon Blum - coming to the throne after being influenced by Dreyfus trial, the latter being Nicolas Sarkozy, who is a Catholic but grew up in his Jewish grandfather's house. Among them were also Rene Meyer, Pierre Michel Farnes, Jewish Michelle Debra and Jewish Lauren Fabius.

Europe in general is full of Jewish leaders. Austria, the Czech Republic and Romania also elected Jewish leaders such as Petra Romanian Prime Minister of Romania from 1989-1991, Bruno Kreiski Chancellor of Austria in the 1970s and Jan Fischer Czech Prime Minister in the first decade of the 2000s.

Looking beyond the oceans also reveals exotic and interesting countries where Jews served in senior positions. Take Singapore for example. Yes yes, the far-off Asian country was formerly under British patronage and was headed by David Saul Mashaal. After coming to power he chose not to confuse his country's citizens with a complicated Jewish name and changed his name to the more catchy and universal name - David Marshall.

About a day in the air, this is the time it takes to reach one of the most distant countries from Israel - New Zealand. Despite the distance, the Jewish community there has also succeeded in providing stately leaders. The first was Francis Vogel, who was also a science fiction writer, the book he wrote and predicted that women in the 2000s would hold key positions, a failure. The last of the prime ministers in the far country was John Philip Kay who left the job just four years ago.

Even today, Jewish leaders sit on the throne. Belgian Prime Minister Sophie Wilms was elected to the post last year. Parts of Wimes' family were killed in the Holocaust and her associates said her Jewish identity was becoming increasingly important to her. The second one started out as a well-known actor and jumped headlong into the deep waters of politics, directly into the role of president. Vladimir Zalansky, President of Ukraine, does not hide his affection for the Jewish people and even called his countrymen to resemble Jews in the country in defense of the homeland.
