On Tuesday, Rambam Hospital in Haifa had to determine the death of driver Abdullah Hajirat, a 28-year-old young man from Tamra who collapsed in the detention center. On Tuesday, the Acre Magistrate ordered his arrest until another decision was taken, after driving a 31-year-old blood alcohol .

Today, a police request for his arrest was scheduled to be held until the end of the legal proceedings, but when police prosecutor, Attorney Tomer Yitzhaki, appeared in Justice Ulster's courtroom, Esther Tepa-Guardi, defense attorney Abu Harfa announced that he had learned of the driver's death. The plaintiff has nothing left but to ask the court to close the cases, stop the proceedings and express participation in the family grief.

Abdullah Hajirat's body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir. The cause of death has yet to be determined. He was being held at the Kishon Detention Center and yesterday afternoon told warders that he was feeling bad. Prison service officials say he went out to the clinic. But a short time later, he collapsed. An MDA (intensive care unit) MDA team called to prison cleared him to Rambam Hospital. There, in the shock room, after CPR attempts, doctors had to determine his death. Earlier, he was brought to rest.

Abdullah Hajirat, a new driver, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. driving his Mitsubishi car in Tamra when he aroused the suspicion of police officers on the scene. According to them, they immediately noticed that a strong odor of alcohol was emitted from their mouth and in their vehicle they found an open bottle containing an alcoholic beverage.

In an "owl" test conducted by the police, a sample was taken with a concentration of 1,534 micrograms of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, as stated in the law for a new driver 31 times. Police said it was a "new Israeli record." He was arrested at the scene, his driver's license revoked and the vehicle was administratively disabled for 30 days. An indictment and a request for detention and disqualification until the end of the proceedings were filed later that morning in the Acre Court of Transportation.

In the Coastal Police District, an investigation into the circumstances of the death has been opened.
