Ji Bingxiong, one of the "Three Great Thieves", was suspected of robbing jewellery and gold shops several times in the 1980s and 1990s. In 2005, the High Court convicted him of possession of firearms and ammunition and possession of explosives without a license. He was sentenced to 24 years in prison . After a three-year deduction, he was released from prison today (18th).
