The Libyan army spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, announced that the angry masses have closed the fields and oil ports to reach their voice to the international community.
"The general command of the army is its role to protect the Libyan people with all its components and not to allow anyone to threaten the Libyan people or interfere in its decisions," Sputnik quoted Al-Mesmari as saying in a press conference.
He added, "It was the Libyan people that closed the oil ports and fields," describing them as a giant step.
Al-Mismari explained that “the national army is fully committed to the ceasefire, while retaining the right to respond in case of breaches of the militias,” noting that “mercenaries and Turkish officers were landed in clear violation of the cease-fire.”
And last Monday, in the Russian capital, Moscow, talks were held on the cease-fire in Libya between the Russian foreign and defense ministers, Sergey Lavrov, Sergey Shoygo, the foreign ministers of the Turkish system, the Libyan army commander, Haftar, and the head of the reconciliation government, Fayez al-Sarraj.
Since 2011, NATO witnessed a state of chaos and lawlessness in light of the proliferation of weapons and terrorist organizations, while two major parties are currently contesting the authorities: the Al-Wefaq government led by al-Sarraj and the government operating in eastern Libya supported by the House of Representatives in Tobruk and the Libyan army. Led by Haftar.
