Not just the military wing: Britain defined Hizbullah as a terrorist organization

The UK Treasury declared Hizbullah as a terrorist organization on Friday. This, after so far, has separated the political arm and the military arm of the organization. As part of British anti-terrorist legislation, all of Hizbullah's assets in the United Kingdom will be frozen upon entry into the list of outlawed organizations.

Hizbullah, already defined as a terrorist organization by the United States, was established in 1982 by Iran's Revolutionary Guards and is an important part of the Tehran-led regional alliance, known as the "axis of resistance." About a year ago, the United Kingdom announced that it would contest Hezbollah and place it on the list of outlawed terrorist organizations. In response, the Shiite organization said the move shows a "deploying obedience" of the kingdom to the United States. So far, only Hizbullah's military arm has been included in the list, but now all assets related to the organization in the UK will be frozen.

Britain is not the only European country to target the Shiite organization, and last month the German parliament approved a proposal calling on Chancellor Angela Merkel's government to completely ban Hezbollah activity on land in the country, due to "terrorist activity". The non-binding decision calls on the government to stop the difference it is making between Hizbullah's political arm and its military wing.
