Starting a project to remove dirt and rubble from the city of Palmyra

Palmyra City Council, in cooperation with the Military Construction Execution Institution, Palmyra branch, began implementing a project to repatriate the dust and debris left by the ISIS terrorist attacks before clearing the area by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army.

The President of the City Council, Engineer Hani Daas, stated in a statement to SANA correspondent today that the duration of the project is 75 days and includes the deportation of 11 thousand cubic meters of dust and rubble from the entire neighborhoods and streets of the city and its main entrances and in front of government institutions, schools and tourist facilities.

Daas confirmed that the value of the project, whose budget was established by the Reconstruction Committee in the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, amounts to 20 million liras, during which dust and rubble will be carried over to landfills designated for this purpose outside the city in order to facilitate the return of the people of Palmyra to their homes.
