The Hospital Authority announced yesterday (17th) data on the use of public hospital services. The occupancy rate of medical beds dropped slightly, with an overall occupancy rate of 102%. Caritas Hospital became the largest hospital in Hong Kong for 13 consecutive days, with an occupancy rate of 126% . The overall occupancy rate of pediatric beds in hospitals in Hong Kong is 68%.

As of 2:30 pm today (18th), patients in United Hospital have to wait more than 4 hours, which is longer than other hospitals.

The Hospital Authority released yesterday's public hospital service usage data showing that the number of first-time visits to the Accident and Emergency Department was 5571, a decrease of 142 from the previous day; of which 952 were transferred to internal medicine, which was also less than the previous day. Queen Elizabeth Hospital had the largest number of consultations, with 456 visits, of which 90 were required to be admitted to the medical ward.
