The "Kwai Lian has a New Year's Fair" event is organized by the Anglican Lady MacLehose Centre and will be held at Kwai Lian Community Park from 12 noon today to 6 pm. There are many stalls in the park selling a variety of dry goods, many of which are handmade products made in-house. In addition, the market also has a bookstore, hand-made workshops, etc., which attracted many families to come to participate.

The organizer, Mrs. Yang, the service officer of the Madame MacLehose Centre of the Hong Kong Episcopal Church of Hong Kong, said that the Centre organized a similar event for the third time. She explained that the activity hopes to bring out the housing space in addition to the carnival, and also serve as an economic platform for family caregivers and residents in the area to use their own skills. "When you make good use of space, you can help your family."

There was a stall at the scene touting their own Chinese New Year food. Ms. Mai, who made pineapple cakes, said that she was a novice and had no previous baking experience. However, she learned relevant skills after class in the center. She pointed out that this class of students designed a series of thoughtful Chinese New Year foods, including young and old models: mice, pigs, oranges, lucky bags, etc.

In addition, some stalls use the concept of environmental protection to transform drinking straws, straps, ropes and other materials into different small animal shapes. Many of the current products are out of the hands of 76-year-old Chen Bo. Chen Bo pointed out that he has been studying related craftsmanship for several years as an interest in passing time after retirement. He also said that it takes hours to make a product.
